11 DAYS

11 days until THE big day. Holy macaroni.  Just had to spell check macaroni.

It's spring break and I am practicing my procrastination by scrolling through my google reader (which they're doing away with!? What is this injustice!?) and I came across something I wanted to share:

Maddie on Things

How cool is this?  A guy, traveling the country, with his ardor-able coon hound.  Check out their website here and buy there book here.  I'm adding it to my cart right now, along with some Kauai travel guides for our honeymoon.  Whoop whoop!

Pictures coming soon of our, admittedly less talented, puppies.

Melting My Heart

Got a snapshot of our little sweet pea today.  She is melting my heart ya'll.  I immediately wanted to show my students this precious baby...felt like a proud mama.  In the meantime, my number one nugget Harper is passed out on the bed next to me as I write this - tummy up, paws pointed towards the ceiling being all kinds of adorable.  I am feeling so so guilty that I can't give her all the non stop love and attention she needs and hope her new sissy will perk her up.  B and I keep saying just how SAD she looks...she's just constantly making that adorable/breaksyourheart sad puppy face.  Killing me.

Praying she will embrace her sissy and be thankful for a new friend...rather than seeing her as an attention thief.  Harper is my #1 girl: it's been just the two of us for so long and I worry about how this puppy melodrama is going to play out! Will we have a three muskateers time, or a three's a crowd fiasco?

In the meantime, stressing about getting our wedding invitations addressed and in the mail...I custom designed our stamps (can you say type A personality?) and need them to get here ASAP - our invitations ship to us tomorrow and I need to get them out! AAANNND getting excited for my bridal shower this weekend (!!!).

sneek peak of my outfit - ordered this skirt from j-crew and am IN LOVE

Thankful tomorrow is Wednesday! Ready for this weekend already!

A Few of My Favorite Things

Happy Sunday everyone!  Enjoying this sunny morning with a few of my favorite things...

Harper got a hair cut...she becomes a totally different dog.

Atom Art Bowl // Anthropologie

I mix mine with their Inside Out Bowls - love them both.

Celine Throw // Sferra

Can't give these throws enough love...we have the wheat and I'm waiting for our Taupe to come in the mail any day now.  100% cotton = perfect for me and the fella since we have sensitivities to wool.

Grapefruit with sugar.  Lots of sugar.  Enough said.

Heading to Ikea today.  Oy.

A New Addition...

I am so excited to announce that Banks and I are going to be giving our sweet Harper a sister...that's right, we're adopting!  A puppy!  (almost had you going, huh?)

This whole adventure started because I recently moved into our A-Dor-Able new home in Historic Roswell; it is THE PERFECT location ya'll and I still can't believe the He had this in our plans.  Honestly, divine intervention is the only way we could have gotten this house.   Little Harper, our one year old Havanese, was excited but a little skeptical - she's lived her entire life with her mommy dearest and her grandmother, and let me tell you she is a real piece of work without a companion pooch.

The long and short of it is, we are a picky set of new parents, and somehow Banks stumbled upon a puppy that met all of our criteria; our sweet girl is one week old right now and will be ready to come home with us in four short weeks.  The timing COULD NOT BE WORSE because in SEVEN short weeks we will be GETTING MARRIED.   I feel like a total nut taking on this crazy puppy adventure at such a stressful time in our lives, but I honestly feel like this puppy is total fate.  We have been searching for months for this little bundle of joy, and I just know this is the right thing for Harper, and for us.

Our sweet Harper

Our new bundle of joy is somewhere in this puppy pile-up

See ya'll in the nut house!
